Effects of Different Lactic Acid Bacteria Inoculants on Alfalfa Silage Fermentation and Quality

چکیده
Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) is a crucial perennial forage plant with its high protein and mineral content may be mowed several times through the vegetation period. Along having large cultivation area in Türkiye, it constitutes approximately 61% of total green produced. Silage best method for keeping grass well using as source roughage all seasons. However, ensiling alfalfa, especially low dry matter content, very difficult due to water-soluble carbohydrate buffering capacity. This study was carried out improve alfalfa plant's silage fermentation process by inoculating new lactic acid bacteria strains. When reached 50% flowering, six different strains were inoculated compared uninoculated silage. According results obtained, determined that inoculants improved properties general. All caused significant decrease pH resulting The strain Lactobacillus buchneri (LS-31-1-4) superior terms much recovery (96.82%) (94.00%). At same time, brevis (LS-55-2-2) Leuconostoc citerum (LS-70-6-1) most restrictive yeast enterobacteria growth silage, respectively.

Different aspects of Lactobacillus inoculants on the improvement of quality and safety of alfalfa silage
There is a significant range of bacterial inoculants for forage ensiling, but there is still a need for formulations to improve the safety of feed. The objective of the study was to evaluate the usefulness of three lactobacilli strains in alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) The following bacterial inoculants were used: Lactocacillus plantarum K KKP 593p (LPK), L. plantarum C KKP 788p (LPC), L. buchner...

This study was carried out to determine the effects of actic acid bacterial inoculant on the fermentation and aerobic stability of sunflower silages. Sunflower was harvested at the milk stage. Inoculant-1174 (Pioneer®,USA) was used as homofermentative lactic acid bacterial inoculant. Inoculant was applied 6.00 log10 cfu/g silage levels. Silages with no additive served as controls. After treatme...
متن کاملEffect of lactic acid bacteria inoculants, formic acid, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate on fermentation quality and aerobic stability of wilted grass silage
The efficiency of a novel strain of lactic acid bacteria inoculant (Lactobacillus plantarum VTT E-78076, E76) on the fermentation quality of wilted silage was studied. Furthermore, the possibility to improve aerobic stability of silages by combining an inoculant and chemical preservatives was investigated. Two experiments were conducted with wilted timothy-meadow fescue herbage (dry matter 429 ...

It is difficult to make good quality of silage from alpine gramineous from the Qinghai Tibetan plateau. The effects of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) on the fermentation quality and aerobic stability of Siberian wildrye silage were studied in southeast of the Qinghai Tibetan plateau. Siberian wildrye materials were freshly cut at the sprouting stage, flowering stage, and milky stage. Silage was pre...

OBJECTIVE Four lactic acid bacteria (LAB) strains isolated from common vetch, tall fescue and perennial ryegrass on the Tibetan Plateau were characterized, and their effects on the fermentation quality of Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) silage were studied. METHODS The four isolated strains and one commercial inoculant (G, Lactobacillus plantarum MTD-1) were evaluated using the aci...
